Born in Jacksonville Florida, Amanda Friedman is an up and coming horn player who particularly enjoys performing romantic style music due to its expansive and emotional nature. She has collaborated with notable professionals, such as Peter Kurau, James Thompson, and Øystein Baadsvik.

Amanda moved to North Carolina to complete her Master’s degree studying with Maria Serkin, which she just finished in spring of 2025. In North Carolina, Amanda is performing as a substitute with multiple orchestras in the area including the Charlotte Symphony Orchestra, North Carolina Symphony, and Winston Salem Symphony. Personalized Instruction
There's no "one size fits all" when it comes to teaching horn! I always strive to tailor my teaching style to each individual student's learning needs in order to help them the best!
Competition/Audition Preparation
Prepping excerpts and solos can be daunting, especially by yourself! I have over a decade and a half of experience with the repertoire, and am prepared to help guide you to success!
Audition/Performance Anxiety
It's completely normal to get nervous before a performance or audition. I used to get so nervous that I could barely perform, and now I perform multiple times a week every week with no issues or nerves. It's a well-rewarding journey to go on to master your nerves that I can help guide you along!
